I’ve been going deeper down the rabbit hole lately and have noticed a recurring trend here: a lot of people really dislike Ledger wallets.
From what I can tell:
• Ledger has been around for a long time and has a solid track record overall.
• Pascal (the CEO) seems like he genuinely cares about the mission and doesn’t come off like a scammy web3 grifter.
• Their chips go through 3rd-party testing (e.g., ANSSI in France) and have received Common Criteria certifications.
• The ecosystem seems pretty polished and user-friendly, especially for newcomers.

Just came back to Bitcoin and bought in when it was 85k. Over the past few days it went down to 83 and i bought again. Now that it’s at 88, should i keep buying, or try and wait to see if it dips again? It was a notable jump from last week, and i wanna try to keep my averages as low as possible. Not really a smart plan I’m guessing.
I’m really talking myself into just buying no matter what. There will be plenty dips to get more down the line

If you got into Bitcoin recently, and recently bailed on this dip, and are now questioning yourself seeing it recovering… the simple advice I would have for you is that this may not be for you.
If you’re trying to scalp little intra-day or intra-week movements to scrape together a few dollars, do not bother. You are up against sophisticated people, and AI, and trading strategies that have been around for a decade. You do not have a chance playing this game, sitting in front of your screen, all optimistic and enthusiastic. Especially if you don’t have a backbone for it. If you can’t handle the wild up-and-down swings, don’t get on the see-saw in the first place.
If you buy-in and it goes up — way up — and you’re congratulating yourself on being a timing genius… don’t. It could just as easily have gone the other way in the exact same time frame.
Bitcoin is wildly volatile. The only right move for the vast majority of people who believe in it is buy, and buy it now. Is now a good time to buy bitcoin? Yes. The answer will always be yes. Always. As long as you’re willing to hold onto it and not bail at the first sign of uncertainty/distress.
This is not a short term play… but for those who are willing to stick it out, you are buying into a commodity with a limited supply and an unending and growing demand. You do not need a degree in economics to understand the implications. But it will be a wild ride. Stick to it. Or don’t participate at all.

As an engineer living in a sanctioned country (Syria) I can just self-custody some of my earnings in Bitcoin and wait for the inevitable (millions of dollars per coin) to happen
No government shit, no fancy stock terms, nothing!

My mom wanted to sell some of her Btc to pay for some things, to avoid that i lent her the money via bank account on fiat. And then I thought, hey… why not ask her to repay me in Btc? Immediate transaction, no fees, huge ammount compared to what i usually buy. Good moment too. Lowish price.
Its the third or fourth ever transaction I have done with btc instead of cash or via bank. I love it. And still got her to buy more later and keep saving her sats. Feels good.
